I have been in the mental health field since 1992. My practice focuses on strengthening adults who are recovering from childhood abuse and educating parents to stop abuse before it starts.
I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Chapman University in Orange, California. I completed my Masters of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage Family Child Counseling from Chapman University. I have been a practicing clinician since 2001. My work with children, adolescents and adults has focused on trauma healing. Cognitive behavior therapy is an active, structured, direct form of psychological treatment that has been shown to be highly effective with a variety of psychological problems, often in a short or brief period of time. |
I specialize in providing compassionate, individualized, cognitive behavioral psychotherapy (CBT).
In the context of a warm, collaborative and trusting therapy relationship CBT helps you develop new skills and strategies that are practical, powerful and proven. It can help you feel better and make changes that are meaningful to you. CBT is the most studied form of psychotherapy and research has shown that the treatment often produces lasting results in a limited period of time.
I have worked with adults struggling with underlying issue such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, trauma, and unresolved grief and loss. I join with clients to help them understand the root causes of their underlying challenges to develop the new skills they will need to renew, revive and thrive in their lives.

Everyone is different, and being able to begin accepting yourself and who you have the potential to be by being able to learn how to cope with stressors, trauma, history, current passing, among other things as well as begin to understand them. I use a strength base along with existential and client centered approach that allows me to create treatment plans geared towards each individual client.
I am able to work with a variety of groups ranging from children to adults, families and groups. I partake in a variety of communities that allow me to build a better therapeutic relationship with many of my clients.
Its difficult to take that first step into asking for help, your here so far and doing great. I am able to help create a safe place in where one can express their emotions, thoughts and ideas free from judgment.
